I am reading the ASR 9000 architecture, and there are something like M0,M1,M2,M3 in one power supply unit? What does that mean?
Thanks

Is this correct for ASR9910?
all PS0 is connected to primary power source and all PS1 to redundant source.

In the context of the ASR 9000 architecture, the M0, M1, M2, and M3 designations typically refer to different power modules or power supply units within the system. ASR 9000 is a series of routers developed by Cisco Systems, which are commonly used in service provider networks and data centers for high-performance routing and switching.
The M0, M1, M2, and M3 power supply units likely represent different models or variations of power supply modules that can be installed in the ASR 9000 chassis. These power supply modules are designed to provide electrical power to the router's various components, including the line cards, control processors, and other internal components.
The different modules may vary in terms of their power capacity, redundancy features, and other characteristics. For example, M0 might be the base power supply module, while M1, M2, and M3 could be options with different power ratings or redundancy configurations.
The choice of which power supply module to use depends on the specific requirements of the network and the ASR 9000 deployment. It's important to select the appropriate power supply modules to ensure that the router has the necessary power capacity and redundancy to operate reliably in the given environment. Cisco's documentation and datasheets for the ASR 9000 series should provide detailed information about the specific features and capabilities of each power supply module.
