Which of the HSRP routers become active after a LAN failure ?

Let's assume an HSRP config, two WAN routers, interconnected via the local LAN. The routers have the same priority. If the LAN is disconnected, both routers will become active (my understanding). Then when the LAN is re-connected again which of the two routers will become the active one ?

Hi:

The priority of an HSRP group configured on a router is used to elect the active and standby routers. When comparing priorities of two different routers, the router with the numerically higher priority wins. In the case of routers with equal priority, the router with the higher IP address wins.

HSRP will only have one forwarding router for each HSRP group.
