I have a 3845 running 12.4.13a which I want to upgrade to 12.4.24.
After upgrade one of the interface that is configured for frame relay doesn't work anymore.
The interface configuration is:
interface Serial0/0/0
bandwidth 128
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no ip mroute-cache
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
no fair-queue
service-module t1 timeslots 1-4
service-module t1 remote-alarm-enable
frame-relay traffic-shaping
After the router reloads in 12.4.24 I get this errors in the log
Apr 22 13:39:33.525: %SERVICE_MODULE-4-WICNOTREADY: Unit Serial0/0/0 not ready for next command -Traceback= 0x61202820 0x60549704 0x605497B4 0x6054A458 0x605410F0 0x60547914 0x60548C58 0x60545D30 0x61243728 0x6125FA10 0x625E8D20 0x625EC350 0x6223EBC0 0x6223EBA4
Apr 22 13:39:33.525: wait_ft1_wic_mailbox failed 4
In fact is the "service-module t1 timeslots" commands that can not be executed and the router throws that error.
I tested this behaviour on two 3845s and the result is the same.
Is this a bug or is an workaround for it?
Thanks,
Florin

Florin,
I suggest you open a TAC case or revert back to a previous IOS version.
What triggered the IOS upgrade?

Came across this discussion looking to resolve the same issue. This is an old thread but figured I would post the bug id for future users.
