what is configured at the minute , how is the internet connection setup currently ?

I presume this is a layer 3 ewic which is routable yes , did the ISP give you any ionformation on what they want setup as there the underlying carriers

If your internet connection IP has been changed, you probably have more than just the WIC ip config changed.

- you may have static routes that have to change

- If the environment has a firewall, it would likely require changes.

- if no firewall, presumably there are some ACL filtering rules requiring updates.

The IP hasn't been changed and we have a Firewall ,, but the ISP told me a new username and password it must be configured on the interface to get an internet connection

when you say change password to your account is that to get onto their line , if so are they using pppoe if they require username passwords setup , if they want that then they should have at least supplied them to get you going ? how do they expect you to know there authentication credentials for their internet line ,

can you post your current config it might make it bit clearer , just remove any ips etc you don't want public so we can see what exactly is in place

The ISP already Provided me the username and password ,, all i need to know is where to input this username and password

if its pppoe you put it in under  dialer interface , you still have  not said what technology your using? so all we can do is guess

ppp authentication pap
ppp pap sent-username cisco password cisco1

yes its PPPOE ,, i'll try this and i'll tell you the feedback ,, Thank you very much

it could be chap either if its pppoe , you will know by looking at current dialer config

ppp authentication chap callin
ppp chap hostname eircom
ppp chap password broadband1
