Hello All,
I've got 3560CG-8TC-S layer 3 switch and despite the command 'router bgp' existing and all the reference documentation also confirms this device should support BGP but alas.. no!
I get the following:
zyko-r1(config)#router bgp 100
Protocol not in this image
So obviously I check for other images but I can only see universal images available for my switch, should there be an ipbase IOS? - if there is, I can't see it.
Here's my show version:
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
* 1 10 WS-C3560CG-8TC-S 15.0(2)SE7 C3560c405ex-UNIVERSALK9-M
Any ideas?

Use the cisco feature navigator to find the correct IOS for the feature:
http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp
I just did, and for platform "CAT3560C405EX" the BGP feature is only supported on images 12.2-55, it doesnt show the 15.0 image that you are using.

Arh... no, despite sorting by feature BGP and download the appropriate image I still get the following:
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
* 1 10 WS-C3560CG-8TC-S 12.2(55)EX3 C3560c405ex-UNIVERSALK9-M
Configuration register is 0xF
zyko-r1#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
zyko-r1(config)#router bgp 100
Protocol not in this image
