ws-c4948 Layer2 mode??

hi all

It is just very simple question

In order to use 4948 switch layer 2 mode, what can I do configure special?

I think No configuring something I should do?

and I think just inserting UTP cable to thr switch => L2 mode ,, is it right?

You might need to configure the port as a switchport and not a routed port.  A 4948 should support either, but I don't know which is its default.

Hi,

 

Joseph is right. I thnk the default mode is switchport. By default all the ports will be in vlan 1. So you can make it as L2 switch without any configuration.
