Hi All,
I have the above config in a 6509-E chassis with X2 Cac-3000 psu's
The problem i'm having is when everything is powered up it runs fine for about 10minutes then reloads the switch
The 6748 has a 6700-CFC installed the only way i have managed to get it run without crashes is to remove the 3BXL card from the sup and replace it with a PFC-3B, whilst this has solved the problem the client wants the 3BXL card to be installed, am I right in thinking that the CFC installed on the 6748 is
incompatible with the 3BXL or maybe the 3BXL is faulty
if you need more info I do have crash reports
many thanks

Hi Inayath,
thanks for taking the time to help me, but I have read those pages and to be honest I'm more confused now than I was before
do I need a different daughter board on the 6748 for the 3BXL to run properly

Hello Billybong,
there is only one CFC there are not multiple versions of the CFC daughter card, so the CFC cannot be incompatible with the SUP 720 3BXL.
I would suggest to try to install a different IOS image on the sup720 3BXL as an attempt. If even this fails and you still see system instability I would open an RMA request for the sup720 3BXL.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
