ws-x6k-sup2-2ge - how to replace?

Hi All. I'm a budding CCNA (i.e. not as experienced as I'd like!). We had the above supervisor fail last night, we've put in a new supervisor - but neithert my boss or myself has had to do this before. The hardware side of it is done, the old flash card in the old unit too. Where do we go from here? Any ideas much appreciated. Thanks!

Is this the only supervisor engine in the switch ? Do you have a backup of the config on the older supervisor engine ?

You can download newer OS to upgrade to the right version, if you know the previous version that was running on the old supervisor. But before that we need to know the version number as well as OS type (CATOS or IOS) running on the older and newer Supervisor engines. (A Sh version output should help) - Since your old supervisor has failed, you will have to rely on your memory, or any backup config/sh version outputs you have.
