We have a single router on our LAN that is for third party connections. I want to run OSPF for these connections so that the routing is dynamic. However I want to stop each 3rd party receing eachothers networks - what options do I have??

what kind of topology do you have ? In a point-to-multipoint topology, you could use the command ' neighbor x.x.x.x database-filter all out', which allows routes to be received but not sent, while at the same time allowing adjacencies to be established...

if we follow your idea, youc an just place a "passive-interface" on the interface leading to the external networks : it will receive the routing updates but not send any...

If all the third party routers are in the same area there is not much you can do to prevent them from seeing each others LSAs and therefore each others routes.
What you can do is put each third party router in a different area an use filter-lists on your router to filter summary LSAs from one area to the other.
