Hi everyone,
I have very limited experience with X25 and was hoping to get some advice on an issue i'm having.
I'm trying to setup an X25 session between two peers.
Requirements are:
-use of XOT
-make an async call
-make a sync call
Aside from the clocking signal associated with synchronous and asynchronous transmission.Could someone please advice on the difference in x25 configurations needed to setup both these calls?

There is no concept of sync or async in x25/xot. The connections can come off a sync or async serial, so you need to setup that if you want to test.

Thanks for replying!
Pls correct me if i'm wrong but given if i have a HWIC-4A/S and if i needed to configure async on the interface it would require
"physical-layer async"
Is there additional steps i should take note of when running x25 over an async interface?

You can't run run x25 on async interface. But you can run as tty with pad (x28) on it, to generate x25 calls. Or you can run PPP on it, and carry x25 via xot.
