XENPAK-10GB-LR

Hi All,

I have a 10GB-LR adapter manufactured by Extreme. Will it be compatible with Cisco and work in place of Cisco XENPAK-10GB-LR adapter?

At the moment I cannot test it myself and see if it'll work.

The optical parameters should be compatible but the xenpak you have doesn't have cisco id so it will appear as unknown media type and it will not work. There are commands to override this behavior but this is not recomanded unless you really know that the electrical parameters are the same for both extreme xenpak and cisco xenpak.
