So is the vManage SD-WAN image not compatible with ISR 4000's?

I don't see it mentioned.

It is with IOS-XE SD-WAN images 17.2.1r, 16.12.x, 16.10.x, and 16.9.x .

Check compatibility matrix here

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/release/notes/20-1/sd-wan-rel-notes-20-1.html#concept_iv2_pyz_blb

Yep, just saw that. AWESOME!!!!!

Man, the formatting and directory is MESSY. I've upgraded twice already before, so I know my way around an upgrade.

There are actually two places the ISR image is located at, under SD-WAN Routers and under Branch Routers. Anyway, the files are not formatted in the right syntax nor are the labels consistent. All directories show image "isr4300-universalk9.17.02.01r.SPA.bin" but vManage only takes images in "isr4300-ucmk9.17.02.01r.SPA.bin"format. I know I can probably rename the image, but that's sketchy. The directory also shows SDWAN but images don't.

Do you mind providing the link to where the ISR 4300 SDWAN image is located at?

From 17.2.1r we use a single universalk9 image to deploy Cisco IOS XE SD-WAN and Cisco IOS XE functionality on all the ISR supported devices. Details are in release notes

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/release/notes/xe-17-2/ios-xe-sd-wan-re-notes-17-2.html

Got it. Initially, I was receiving the prompt with the image from the Routers/ISR/4330/IOS XE SDWAN directory.

I went the to SDWAN directory and that image was uploadable to vManage. I'm good now and up and running. Thanks

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing the same issue as @gilbert.aispuro1 . @HashamM  can you send me the link to download software version 17.2.1 for a 4331 SDWAN router. Unfortunately, the only file available is the isr4300-universalk9.17.02.01r.SPA.bin. This is an incorrect image name for vManage, it needs a UCMK9 file name.

Thank you in advance

The compatible Controller version to 17.2.1r is 20.1.1 downloadable from

https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286320995/type/286321394/release/20.1.1.1

Thanks for your reply.  So we need to upgrade vManage to 20.1.1 before it will allow us to upload a new file extension (universal)?

Thanks again

All controllers must be on 20.1.1 to support 17.2.1r.

Before any code upgrade, it is highly recommended to review the Release Notes.
