Anyconnect SocketFilter MacOS 12.3.x DNS issues.

Hi,

We have an issue where users are losing their DNS on MacOS 12.3.x.

They have anyconnect client 4.10.05 installed and with only the VPN component.
It's a bit of a weird issue as it seems to be sporadic and happens at random times.
It doesn't matter if they are connected to the client vpn or not.

Symptoms
Their internet connection is active, and can ping 8.8.8.8.
They are not able to ping google.com
The dns entry is still showing in network settings.

MacOS wifi log shows a lot of standard dns errors.

I have also noticed that no matter whether a user connects to the VPN or not the socket filter is always running.

There are two ways to fix this,

1 reboot the users device.

2 uninstall the cisco anyconnect client.

Things that dont fix this issue.
Killing mdnsresponder
Flushing DNS
Manually entering a dns into network config
Removing IPv6 dns enteries.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this without a restart or removing anyconnect?

Thanks
