cEdge lost connection to v-manage

I'm setting up a new cEdge in my lab, and when I applied a device template to it, it broke the routing so connectivity to the vmanage couldn't be established. I cannot go create a default route now (to make it work  temporarily) because the C-edge now considers itself V-managed. How does one get around this?

Two options that come to my mind:
1 ) Reboot the device.
2 ) Try a rollback configuration command to a time period before the template was applied.
