Does SD-AVC need its cloud connector to perform basic function

I'm looking to deploy SD-AVC in a closed environment without Internet access. This is to feed data into LiveNX for application performance statistics.

Will SD-AVC operate without its cloud connector? All Cisco's documentation on the feature starts with enabling CC.

Its my understanding that it will work but that we lose access to protocol pack updates, unable to use AVC in asymmetric traffic flows and not get the telemetry from SAAS such as Teams, O365 etc, but non of that is a concern.

As long as we can get application performance stats into LiveNX that will suffice.

Hi,

it should work, at least I don't see any limitation to use SD-AVC without cloud connector. You need to enable on one vManage instacne, to have local policy with application enabled. If there is no nbar2 package, add it for application recognition.

I've had it confirmed now that SD-AVC will work definitely without the cloud connector. We would lose the ability to get service performance telemetry from cloud providers such as AWS, O365 etc. However in my case that isn't an issue anyway.
