Hello!
We have a couple 4451 routers that someone upgrade to the SD-WAN XE software for a point of concept that we are doing soon. The problem is the software that person put on them is too new. We now need to downgrade the software to an older version. Does anyone have any experience doing this? The commands are different with the Viptela software on the device and we cannot find any documentation on how to do this.
Again, these are not vEdge routers. They are full blown 4451s. We do not have vManage yet.

Is my understanding correct that you want to run SD-WAN code but an older version?

Hey thanks for the answer! We actually figured it out though. You have to boot to Romon and perform the following command with the IOS you want to boot from in the flash of the device =
request platform software sdwan software reset

Great! There's another way of doing it but booting to ROMMON is one way you can do it for sure.

Hi Dan,
Could you provide a pointer to the other way? Is it possible to do that remotely?
