Hi,
Does anyone can guide me about the following DNA license subscriptions for PnP accounts:
1-How much bandwith for vEdge devices is allowed with Essential, Advantage, and Premier subscriptions?
2-What are the time durations for a different subscription?
3- As currently, Cisco is providing 25 trial Viptela serial codes for start, after purchasing DNA licenses for more overlay devices, does this 25 device remains and the extra numbers of devices add to 25?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
1) depends on purchased subscription bandwidth entitlement. See list per license type per platform (table 9):
Note: As I know, there is no enforcement by Cisco i.e by vManage regarding bandwidth. So, basically, router will run maximum capability. DNA licenses should be RTU.
2) Basically 3/5years. There is 7Y option for advantage only and without Enterprise Agreement (EA). See "Subscription term:" on "Step 3" of above guide.
3) In general, it should be as additional in any case. But good you provide link where it is written about trials. I haven't found.

available 1 3 5 years.

you can buy more depends on the requirement you need buy.

Point 1 just to give clarity up to 250MB is good, but more required proper system in place

@navidn :

Bandwidth is based on the hardware throughput not on the license, License always talk about the feature support.
2-What are the time durations for a different subscription?
Licensing basically come up with 1 year, 3year, 5 Year durations
3- As currently, Cisco is providing 25 trial Viptela serial codes for start, after purchasing DNA licenses for more overlay devices, does this 25 device remains and the extra numbers of devices add to 25?
Yes it will remains and you can buy more as per your requirement !

Thanks all for your guidance,
Two more question, can we merge two PnP account and use a total of 50 (25+25) devices in a single overlay? and is there any part number which allows any router to run with maximum Bandwidth? or the bandwidth should be determined exactly ?

Hi,
A1: regarding merging PNP accounts, I don't have info. Better to ask to smart licensing team (even you don't need to have smartnet, just open ticket with your Cisco account).
A2: there is no "SD-WAN boost" license like we have in non-SDWAN ISR4K devices that removes throughput limitations. You may buy and register router with some dedicated value that is based on device model (see provided link in previous comments).
For example, you have branch with internet access and ISP SLA is 15mbps speed, then you should buy subscription tier that is minimum 15 mbps.
But if you don't register the device, device must run its maximum in any case for ipv4 forwarding, but there can be crypto limit. But I don't know and didn't find anywhere default values.
If you have hardware, you can check by "show platform hardware throughput level " IOS XE CLI command. It must show The current throughput level is unthrottled.
There is one more command "show platform hardware throughput crypto" that shows crypto level. I'm unaware of default value for platforms. If someone knows ,kindly ask to share document.
For virtual devices, it runs 250Mbps by default. If you bought license tier less than 250Mbps, then you don't need to any anything.
If you need and bought more than 250 ,then you need to register it to run higher value.
Actually, below guide describes licensing, but mostly it is written about virtual devices (CSR1K,C8K,ISRv).
Note the throughput level of 250000 kb/s when the license is in the Unregistered state. (from above guide). -- this should be related to virtual devices.
