Is it possible to specify the OS file located in usb0: for the OS installation when executing the request platform software sdwan software install command, instead of using the OS file in bootflash? If there are any precautions or points to note, please let me know."
The command i will try :
request platform software sdwan software install usb0:<OS file>

I know what you saying that is not supported. and not a best practice.
Source can be USB, not installation folder is USB.

Thank you for the information. I understand that booting from USB is not supported.
As for the background of this question..
For some reason, the router is referencing the OS file instead of the packages.conf file to boot as the following.
and OS installation file (.bin file) still remain in bootflash:.

Given the situation above, I was considering booting from USB to perform the OS installation. If USB boot is not possible, will performing a factory reset be the only option?
