Hello Everyone ,
Recently I have upgraded my Vmanage to version 2.6 for testing purposes. After the successful upgrade , I tried to login to Vmanage GUI with user "admin" , the system prompt me to change the admin password. As requested , I entered the current password and new password . The password update failed no matter what new password I choose. I followed whatever stated in the guide : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/configuration/system-interface/vedge-20-x/systems-interfaces-book/user-access-authentication.html
and I even used a strong password generator , unlock the admin account just in case it was locked , restarted the vamange ..nothing worked. Currently I can not access the Vmanage GUI .
Have anyone experience the same ? I appreciate if anyone has any idea to resolve this .
thanks

Did you find a solution to this? I have the same issue where I have applied a device profile vManage itself and now it asks me to set a new password when I try to login to the GUI but throws an error "Failed to update password."

Hi ,
The only solution was to contact TAC. They logged in using the TAC account and they changed the GUI password. As of now there is no other way to solve this except through TAC.

Thanks Ali. Much appreciated!
Luckly it was a test environment for me. I restored the lab and then re-applied the profile to vManage but I ensured in AAA feature template for vManage I change the default password before applying the device profile to vManage.
