Cluster IP of FI not respond

Amr Hafez

When we tested the HA between 2-FI 6248UP and we used the ping operation to insure that the management IPs are pingable

then after we reboot the primary FI, the subordinate FI management IP was pingable but the cluster IP  took around 10-15 min to respond for pings

Is this problem or not and please what is the avarage time of the cluster IP to be pingable again

thanks

Amr

Hi Amr,

The UCS Mgmt services works as a cluster active-standby, as soon as the primary fails the second FI will be triggered to bring up the management interface and services. In my field experience it never took more than 10 minutes.
