Helo,

I'm learning about 10 gig interface and sfp. I have several questions. I've searched the answers in internet but none statisfied me.

1. What happend when 10 gig switch interace plugged with cat 5e cable?

2. If my company just have cat 5e cable, should i use copper sfp to switch 10 gig interface so i can have 10 gig speed?

3. If i have cat6a and cat 7 rj45 cable, can i just plug to 10 gig interface without sfp? Still i have 10 gig speed?

Cat5e does NOT support 10 Gbps.  Read Running 10GBASE-T Over Cat6 vs Cat6a vs Cat7 Cabling?

Should work as long as the entire run is purely Cat6a or Cat7 and does not exceed 55 meters.
