connecting SNA devices to an IP host

I have experience with connection IP devices to an SNA host. Now I have a requirement to connect a multitude of SNA devices to an IP host. Is there a configuration that would allow me to support LU0, LU1, LU2 and LU6.2 devices connecting to an IP host?

There are two solutions I know of.

1. Run SNASw on Cisco routers

LU0,1,2,6.2---SNASw router---HPR/IP---IP host

The connectivity between the LU 0,1,2, 6.2 and SNASw router can be SDLC, token ring, ethernet, and even DLSw. DLUR on the SNASw router accept LU 0, 1, and 2 to connect to the LU 6.2 on the host.

2. Run DLSw on the Host

Certain host supports DLSw. You can establish a DLSw connection from Cisco routers to the IP host. The Cisco routers establish connections to the LU 0,1,2, and 6.2 through SDLC, QLLC, token ring, or ethernet.

Can you define your requirement further?

Describe your IP Host:

- What is the system?

- What application are you trying to gain access to
