I downloaded Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.1.1a.zip form Cisco website, and uncompressed it in a folder named Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.1.1a.
I was looking for VSM .OVA files, and I found il in the folder Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.1.1a\VSM\Install.
But, I also found nexus-1000v.4.2.1.SV2.1.1a.1010.ova in that directory.
Is it a N1010 running in a VM ? If so, il would be very cool since N1010 supports different kinds of VSB (VSM, VSG, NAM, ...). But when I tried to install it on VMware, I obtained this error message:
"An error occured while reading: OVA has invalid header block (checksum error)"
I tried with version Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.2.1, same error.
Does that file in intended to run on VMware ? What this file is intended for ?
Thank you very much.

Hi,
You cannot run a 1010 on a VMWARE machine.
A 1010 is physical appliance.
Please check the following for installation guidance:

I hope this helps.

Carlos
