Hi,
We have the issue of servers not retaining their static IP address after a reboot they get the 169.... address as seen many times.
we have enabled the retry arps 0 reg key on all our servers to resolve. http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1028373
Now we are building clustered VM hosts so we can fail resources etc but as the reg key is set when the resource fails the grat arp never gets sent so we can only access the resource in the same VLan.
On the nexus 5k we can only appear to run the "no IP Arp gratuitous" request command under the SVI not interfaces does this only apply to HRSP or will it stop Arp requests for everything in that Vlan and we can then remove the reg key?
