Line Card for Server Farm Connectivity

For Cisco Catalyst 6807-XL, what will be the appropriate Line Card Module to connect Server Farm either 1 or 10Gb.  I am already using Line Card Module C6800-32P10G for 10Gb uplink/Downlink to IDF switches.  Can this module be used for Servers as well?

For 1Gb server connectivity, there are multiple SFP and Copper modules available, but not sure if Copper Module such as WS-X6748-GE-TX would be appropriate for server farm over WS-X6748-SFP Module.

Please advise!

answer:- yes you can use this for the server as well.

• 32 ports—Thirty-two 1G ports, or thirty-two 10G ports.

• Ports are numbered left to right.

  • The top row has odd numbered ports 1 to 31.

  • The bottom row has even numbered ports 2 to 32.

• 4 port groups. Port ranges per port group:

  • 1, 3, 5, 7, 9,11, 13, 15

  • 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16

  • 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31

  • 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32

For VSS, Can I use one of the 10-G Ports from the Supervisor Module, and the other one from 32-Port 10Gb Line Card.  Aslo, Cisco recommends Fast Hello Link, and for that I could use one of the 1Gb port from the Sup 2T as well
