Nexus 1000V Configuration Help

Does anyone out there have experience or know-how using the Cisco Nexus 1000v? I am running the Nexus in a Hyper-V environment (tried it in VMWare, but could run it due to licensing). The switch is running and there are some VMs connected to it. 2 of the 3 VMs can communicate with each other ( the 3rd was able to at one point, but randomly lost its ability to ping with the other two) through the switch. Our major obstacle is that there isn't connectivity to the WAN side network from the VMs. I am able to connect, however, from the Nexus to anywhere on the outer facing network.

I know I am probably not explaining my issues thoroughly, but if you have any information to lend, maybe through some discussion, trial, and error, we could figure something out.

Thanks,

Brock

Hi Brock,

I just installed a 1000v in our VMWare 5.5 environment last month. Any connectivity issues we had were related to the uplinks not having the right VLAN's allowed to pass over them.

Also are you seeing anything in your logs?

Here is a link to the Troublshooting Guide for the 1000v

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/switches/nexus-1000v-switch-vmware-vsphere/products-troubleshooting-guides-list.html

Hope that helps.

Jeff
