nexus 1000v - unable to install vem

Hello,

I have installed vmware ESX 4.0.4, downloaded "cisco-vem-v110-4.0.4.1.2.0.81-1.11.11.zip" and "cross_cisco-vem-v110-4.0.4.1.2.0.81-1.11.11-release.vib" on the /tmp folder.

The installation package failed using the command "vihostupdate" or "esxupdate".

Could you post the error with the esxupdate.

Just in case you missed something

Steps to install :

1. Connect to the ESX host - run cat /proc/version ...

2. Note the ESX version number.

3. Connect to the VSM IP via browser

4. Download the specific VEM which suits the version number

5. Copy the same on your ESX where you want to run the VEM

6. Run the following :

esxupdate -b --nosigcheck --maintenance update
