Hi,
I noticed that there are two Fabric Interconnect ports in the front panel of the nexus 5500, what is the purpose of these doors?

Hi,
Are you referring to the 2 RJ45 ports in the back of the switch?
If yes, theses are cross connect ports
see figure 1-2 in this link:

yes. Those ports serve to interconnect with fabric Interconnects for management?

I think, these ports make the switches act as one (cluster them).
