Nexus 7000 N7K-SUP2 corrupted bootflash:

Hi!

While upgrading Nexus 7 the standby supervisor got stuck in Powered-up.

When connecting with console the supervisor is in switch(boot)#

Resetting the module is giving error message: Partitioning of /dev/sdb failed

Went trough the troubleshooting for corrupted flash: http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Nexus_7000_Series_NX-OS_Troubleshooting_Guide_--_Troubleshooting_Installs,_Upgrades,_and_Reboots#Recovery_for_Systems_with_Dual_Supervisor_Modules

but no luck.

Any ideas??

Well, problem solved by reseating the supervisor. All good again.

Cheers

Hello Anders.

Did you find the reason as to why it was in a powered up status.Coz even i have the same issue with N7k

I am not shure what you meen. The module was supposed to be powered up and to resolve the issue I had to pull out the module and put it back in again.
