OTV and VxLAN

Hi;

With the presence of VxLAN multisite feature, does OTV still have advantages over VxLAN? As I know the OTV could be use as better solution for DCI; But VxLAN multisite has introduced some great features that give us more control over BUM traffic in DCI environment.

My big concern about VXLAN over wan links is the MTU.

I think VxLAN gives you more bang for your buck and where Cisco is moving to. Also you don’t have to do things like HSRP suppression and you can treat it like a regular DCI. Also you don’t have the expensive hardware that is required and get by using Nexus 9200/9300 series l
