Password Recovery Nexus 55XX Error C2: when issuing break from putty

I am trying to complete a password recovery but cannot get the switch to break out of the normal boot mode.

Tried Ctrl + C

Tried Special Command --> Break from Putty 

Tried CTRL + ]

I get feedback only when issuing the putty send break command.

I'm using a laptop with a USB to Serial connector which normally works.

Hello,

Try "CTRL + L" and see if you can break into loader.
