There are need to install Cisco UCS C3160 Rack Server.
This server comes with two types of hdd
1. SSD 2 Nos. 128 GB each.
2. SAS 42 Nos 4 TB each.
As I checked BOM but only mention as
UCSCC3X60SVRN2 00010 - UCS C3X60 Server Node E5-2620 v2 CPU 256GB
4GB RAID cache
Customer want raid configuration
SSD 128 GB in RAID-1 &
Out of SAS 42 nos. 1 will be hot spare so remaining disks are 41 nos.
Out of 41 nos 2 disks groups required. 20 nos & 21 nos disks groups.
In 20 & 21 DG will configured in RAID-6 individually.
So will get hdd 18 & 19 for production.
I am looking help how to configure on this server C3160.
Shall I use CIMC or Shall I do from bios?
How hot spare will only assign to RAID-6 disks groups?
How Configure Hot as Global or dedicated only for RAID-6 disk groups?
