what is the latest or recommended version of ucsm to upgrade to?
I am running 2.2(1c) ucsm and I have mixed b200m2 and m3 and mixed vic cards like m81kr and vic 1280
can i upgrade the ucsm to 2.2(6E) and not keep running on older infrastructure firmware? or do I need to upgrade them right away?

Yes, 2.2.6d or 6e is ok.
Infrastructure (UCS Manager, IOM and FI) must run the same firmware version. The servers (CIMC, BIOS, Adaptor) can run at a lower firmware level, specified by the release notes.
see attachment.which shows eg. Infrastructure 2.2.6 is working with server at 2.1.2-2.26

I am fairly convinced that this error message will disappear, once the FI are updated as well.
Do you manual install or use autoinstall ?
