Access Web-based Setup of the WAP2000 Wireless-G Access Point

Objective

The objective of this document is to show you how to access Web-based Wetup of the WAP2000 Wireless-G Access Point.

Applicable Devices

• WAP2000 Wireless-G Access Point

Access Web-based Setup of the WAP2000

Step 1. Ensure that your PC and Access Point are connected to the same network. If the Access Point will not be connecting to a DHCP server, you may assign the PC a static IP address on the same subnet as the Access Point's default IP address (192.168.1.245). If the Access Point will be connecting to a DHCP server, configure the DHCP server to assign IP addresses in the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.

Note: If connecting the PC directly to the Access Point, configure the PC to have a static IP address on the same subnet as the Access Point's default IP address (192.168.1.245). Though you may connect to the Access Point wirelessly, it is not recommended as you may lose your connection while changing configurations.

Step 2. Open a web browser and enter IP address of the access point you are configuring in the address bar. Then press Enter.

Step 3. Enter the username and password in the fields provided. The default username and password are admin.

Step 4. Click OK.
