Objectives

This article explains how to reset the NSS2000 Series Network Storage devices to the factory settings.

Applicable Devices

• NSS2000 Series Storage Devices

Procedure for Reset on NSS2000

Step 1. Shut down and power off the system.

Step 2. Press and hold the Reset button on the front panel of the chassis, then apply power to the system.

Step 3. Wait until you see the Power LED on the front panel flash yellow, then release the Reset button.

Note: The following will be reset to default settings:.

• Link Addressing (DHCP)

• Link Bonding Mode (Active Backup)

• NSS Hostname (nas. For example, 'nas9876543210ab')

• Administrator Password (admin)

• Network Filters (Cleared)

• Network Default Policy (Accept All)

• MTU Size (1500)
