The table below reflects Cisco products that have been tested and offer enhanced support with Cisco OnPlus Service. In addition to the products below, OnPlus Service can discover and monitor many other Cisco and 3rd party devices.  Links below point you to tips and constraints of specific devices with OnPlus Service. This list will be updated as additional devices are tested.

OnPlus 'Scanner' supported devices are listed below the ON100 Supported Devices Section.

OnPlus ON100 Supported Devices

Definitions:

  • Discovery: Cisco OnPlus Network Agent is able to discover the device on the network; CDP must be enabled for successful discovery and identification of IOS devices.  For tricks and tips on best results in discovering devices with OnPlus check out Best Practices for Device Discovery with OnPlus.
  • Vanity Icon: Cisco OnPlus Service is able to represent devices that it discovers it with a device-specific icon
  • Info: Cisco OnPlus Service is able to identify and access the device with user-provided credentials to collect and display information about the device such as MAC Address, IP  Address, serial number, pid vid, device model name, current firmware  version, description and other devices attached to this device
  • Topology: Cisco OnPlus Service can query the device to find out information about connected devices, allowing one to correct the topology from the initial assumptions made by discovery
  • Backup/Restore: Cisco OnPlus Service is able to backup and restore the device configuration
  • Upgrade Firmware: Cisco OnPlus Service is able to load and update the firmware of a device
  • Remote Access: Cisco OnPlus Service is able to remotely connect to a device either by launching the management GUI or providing access to its command line shell

The Meraki solution, in my opinion, does have a lot of potential but it's going to pretty much by Meraki devices only for the foreseeable future, again in my opinion.

That said, I do have an ihiji appliance sitting behind me waiting for me to unbox it and start testing it.  Just haven't gotten around to it yet.  I do know that it is missing some of the functionality that OnPlus had, does have some functionality that OnPlus didn't have, and they're working on the shortcomings.  That said, no matter how you slice it, the ihiji solution is more expensive the OnPlus/ON100 was.
