Configuration of Secure Socket Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) Application Port Forwarding on RV220W
Objective
Secure Socket Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) provides secure communication for data transmission between the secure network and the Wide Area Network (WAN). SSL VPN Application Port Forwarding allows remote users to access specific services such as web applications, e-mail, and file transfer.
The objective of this document is to show you how to configure SSL VPN application port forwarding to access specific services on the RV220W through the use of the configuration utility.

SSL VPN Application Port Forwarding Configuration
Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose VPN > SSL VPN Server > Port Forwarding. The Port Forwarding page opens:
Step 2. Click Add under the Configured Applications for Port Forwarding Table. The Port Forwarding window appears.
Step 3. Enter the IP address of the local server in the Local Server IP Address field.
Step 4. Enter the port number of the TCP application in the TCP Port Number field to enable port forwarding.
Common TCP applications and corresponding port numbers are given below.
• Port Number: 20 — FTP Data
• Port Number: 21 — FTP Control Protocol
• Port Number: 25 — SMTP (to send e-mail)
• Port Number: 80 — HTTP (web)
• Port Number: 110 — POP3 (to receive e-mail)
Step 5. Click Save.
Note: To delete an application configured for port forwarding, check the box next to an entry and click Delete.
