Enable Access Setup for a Cisco IOS Device on Cisco OnPlus Portal
Objective
Enable Access mode is present in Cisco IOS devices. It is necessary for Cisco IOS devices to have the Enable password given in order to backup, restore configuration, or to do a firmware upgrade. The main function of Enable Access credentials is to allow these operations on IOS devices even though the enable passwords are not same as the log in passwords.
This article explains the steps on how to add Enable Access credentials to an OnPlus device so that it can be used for purposes mentioned above.

Enable Access Setup for a Cisco IOS Device
Step 1. Log in to the Cisco OnPlus Portal, click the desired customer and choose Dashboard.
Step 2. Move the mouse over to a desired device from the Network Topology view and click Device Information icon. The Settings window appears.
Step 3. Click the Credentials tab.
Step 4. Click Enable Access. The Enable Access page opens:
Step 5. (Optional) The existing credentials are deleted so that new credentials could be added for the device. Check the Delete existing credentials check box in the Delete existing credentials field to delete the credentials which exist currently. Click Ok and close the window so the next time when the tab is accessed, the credentials fields will be empty and new entries can be added.
Step 6. Check Allow Enable Access in the Allow Enable Access field in order to allow enable access to the device. If this field is Unchecked the Password field, and upgrades due to enable access are disabled on the device.
Step 7. Enter the enable password in the Enable Password field.
Step 8. Click OK after the credentials are entered to send them to the portal. It takes one discovery cycle for the credentials to be validated. Wait for a few minutes and check the Credentials tab again to see whether they are valid or not.
