Map of Direct Inward Dialing (DID) to an External Number Setup on the UC500 Series

Objective

Direct Inward Dialing (DID) are numbers assigned individually to users in your network by your service provider. This way, you can contact a person within your network directly via DID instead of via extension numbers. An External number is any number (for example an extension number or a personal phone number). You can map a DID number to any external number of your choice. This gives you more flexibility within your network, since it does not matter where you are physically. This article explains how to map a DID number to an external number on the UC500 Series.

Applicable Devices

• UC500

Software Version

• v8.6(0) [UC500 Series]

• v3.2(1) [Cisco Configuration Assistant]

Step 2. Click Direct Dialing.
