Reboot and Reset Factory Defaults on WAP4410N Wireless-N Access Point

Objective

Reboot is used for maintenance of a device and restarts the device with a saved configuration. The factory default reset is used  to restore the factory default configuration /out-of-box configuration on the device before firmware upgrade and to remove previous configurations made for troubleshooting purposes. It is advised to backup running configuration before you do restart or reboot.

This articles explains how to reboot and reset the factory defaults on a WAP4410N Wireless-N Access Points.

Applicable Devices

• WAP4410N Wireless-N Access Point

Software Version

• 2.0.5.3

Reset Factory Default

There are two ways to reset the Access Point to the factory default configuration.

• Hardware reset

• Reset with the use of the Web-based Utility

Hardware Reset

Step 1. Press the Reset button for approximately ten seconds with a pin located at the back of the device.

Step 2. The Access Point reloads and is set to the default configuration settings.

Reset with the use of the Web-based Utility

Step 1. Log in into the web configuration utility page and choose Administration > Factory Default. The Factory Default page opens:

Step 2. To reset the device, click  the Yes radio button to reset the router to the default configuration.

Step 3. Click Save.

A confirm page appears:

Step 4. Click OK to continue with configuration.

Reboot Factory Default

There are two ways to reboot the Access Point.

• Reboot with the use of the Web-based Utility

• Hardware reboot

Reboot with the use of the Web-based utility

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility page and choose Administration > Reboot. The Reboot page opens:

Step 2. To reboot the device, click the radio button Yes to reboot the access point from its web-based interface.

Step 3. Click Save to save the set up. Rebooting the device will not cause the device to lose any of the stored configuration.

Hardware Reboot

Step 1. Press the Reset button for less than  eight seconds with a pin located at the back of the device.

Step 2. The Access Point reboots and is refreshed.
