Objective
This article explains how to restore the settings back to its defaults on RV180 and RV180W routers. This feature can be used when all the troubleshooting methods are exhausted to fix any problem.
NOTE: Restoring the factory defaults will remove all the current settings and the device will reboot. Settings like Firewall rules, VPN Policies, LAN/WAN settings and all other settings will be lost. Make a back up of all the necessary settings. While the restoration is in progress:
• Do NOT close the browser window
• Do NOT go online
• Do NOT turn off or power-cycle the router
• Do NOT shutdown the computer

• RV180 VPN Router
• RV180W Wireless-N Multifunction Router
Restore to Factory Defaults
Step 1. Use the Configuration Utility of the router to choose Administration > Restore Factory Defaults which opens the Restore Factory Defaults page.
Step 2. To proceed with restoration process, click Default. It will take couple of minutes before the router reboots.
