Serial Port Configuration on C20 TelePresence System
Objectives
A serial port is used to configure the device. This article explains how to configure a serial port on C20 TelePresence System.
Applicable Devices

Configure Serial Port through Web Configuration Utility
Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility of the C20 TelePresence System and choose Configuration > Advanced Configuration > SerialPort. The SerialPort page opens:
Step 2. Choose the baud rate value from the BaudRate drop-down list. The baud rate is the data transmission rate in bits per second from the COM port. The default baud rate is 38400.
Step 3. Choose whether login is required or not from the LoginReguired drop-down list.
• On — User can access through COM port and login is required.
• Off — User can access through COM port without login information.
Step 4. Choose the mode for the serial port from the Mode drop-down list.
• On — Enable the serial port on the codec.
• Off — Disable the serial port on the codec.
Configure Serial Port on the Actual Device
Step 1. Use the soft keys to choose Settings > Advanced Settings > Advanced Configuration.The Advanced Configuration page opens :
Step 2. Choose SerialPort > BaudRate and choose the desired baudrate from the sub-menu.
Step 3. Choose SerialPort > LoginRequired and choose the desired option to turn on or off the login when the serial port is used to configure the device.
Step 4. Choose SerialPort > Mode and choose the desired option to turn on or off the serial port mode.
