The SPA525G running version 7.2.5 firmware in SIP mode is now able to accept and display JPG images too.
Even though the field is called BMP... the JPG file format is also acceptable for the following:
SPA525G > Voice tab > User tab > Screen > BMP Picture Download URL: <path>/file.jpg
