System Information Status on the NSS300 Smart Storage series
Objective
The Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a high-performance data storage device that provides centralized data storage. Users can access the data from a LAN or from remote locations. The NAS provides many data protection features and assures that the data is always protected.
This document helps to view the system information status on the Cisco NSS300 Smart Storage series.

System Information Status
Step 1. In the configuration utility of the NSS324 Smart Storage device, choose Status > System Information.
The following information is displayed under the System Information area:
• Server Name — Displays the name of the NAS device.
• Firmware Version — Displays the current firmware version of the NAS device.
• Firmware MD5 Checksum — Displays the Message Digest5 (MD5) check sum of the current firmware.
Note: The MD5 number is used to verify the integrity of the firmware.
• System Up Time — Displays the time in days, hours and minutes the data storage device has been in continuous operation.
• Object ID — Displays the object identifiers of the NAS device which is used in simple network management protocol (SNMP) applications.
The unique device identifier (UDI) elements of the NAS device are also displayed in the System Information area.
• PID VID — Displays the product identifier (PID) and version identifier (VID) of the NAS device.
• Serial Number — Displays the serial number of the NAS device.
