Objective
Feature keys are license keys provided to enable specific functionality on your system. Keys are specific to the serial number of your appliance and specific to the feature being enabled.The Feature Key Settings page is used to configure feature key updates and activations. This article explains how to upload a feature key manually on the Cisco Virus and Spam Blocker.

Upload Feature Key Manually
Step 1. Use the web configuration utility to choose System Administration > Feature Key Settings.
Step 2. At the Automatic Serving of Feature Keys field, uncheck the Check for and Download Automatically check box.
Step 3. At the Automatic Serving of Feature Keys field, uncheck the Activate Feature Keys Automatically check box.
Step 4. Click Submit.
Step 5. At the Feature Key field, paste or enter the key to add a new feature key manually.
Step 6. Click Submit Key.
Note: An error message is displayed if the feature is not added (if the key is incorrect, etc.), otherwise the
feature key is added to the display.
