UPnP Settings on the WRP400

Objective

This document explains how to configure the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) on the WRP400. UPnP is is a useful application that saves time that would be used on configuration of the router. UPnP can be automatically configured by the computer, or can have the configuration modified by the user.

UPnP Configuration

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Administration > Management. The Management page opens:

Scroll down to the UPnP area.

Step 2. Click Enabled for UPnP to enable Universal Plug and Play on the router. This will allow computers to automatically configure the router for internet applications such as games and video conferencing. The default is Enabled. If you click Disabled skip to Step 6.

Step 3. Click Enabled in the Allow Users to Configure field to enable users to make changes to the UPnP settings. The default is Enabled. If you click Disabled skip to Step 5.

Step 4. Click Enabled in the Keep UPnP Configurations After System Reboot field to keep user made changes to UPnP when the router reboots. The default is Disabled.

Step 5. Click Enabled in the Allow Users to Disable Internet Access field to allow users to prohibit any internet connections. The default is Disabled.

Step 6. Click Save Settings to keep the changes or click Cancel Changes to discard the changes.
