Note:  The Cisco TelePresence System Codec C-Series and the Profile Series with C40 Codec endpoints can use either the TRC5 remote control or the touch pad device for user input, but they cannot use both devices at the same time. 

For additional information about how to use the Cisco TelePresence System Codec C-Series endpoints, refer to the documentation at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11326/tsd_products_support_series_home.html and navigate to End User Guides.  Look for the documentation that is applicable to your version of software.

               Task                              Steps to Complete

Toggle between text mode (abc) and number mode (123)

Press the # abc/123 key for more than one second.

Display the home menu

Press the Home button (displays a house icon).

Display the phone book

Press the Phone Book button (displays a book icon).

Place or accept an incoming call

Press the Call button.

End a call or place a call in standby mode

Press the End Call or Standby button to reject an incoming call, end an ongoing call, or go in to standby mode (when idle).

Remove incorrect entries

Press the C button.  Characters to the left of the current cursor position are deleted.

Switch the microphone on and off

Press the Microphone button (displays a microphone icon).

Show or hide a presentation

Press the Presentation button (displays a computer icon).

Adjust volume settings

Press the Volume button (displays + and - to increase and decrease volume).

Zoom the camera in and out

Press + or –  on the Zoom button.

Display the layout menu

Press the Layout button and select a view in the menu.

Display shortcuts and advanced features

Use the Function keys, which appear in the upper part of the remote control.  Each key corresponds to a softkey on the screen.

Manage video, sound, phone book, menus, and navigation

Press the Navigation and OK buttons.
