Compatibility Issues - Cisco SF300-48 and Dell 3448 switches

Hello,

A new Cisco switch was purchased for an existing environment. The existing warehouse environment consists of Dell powerconnect 3448 switches and for a new construction area some 250 yards away, fiber was trenched and a cisco sf300-48 switch was purchased. When this new cisco switch is connected via the fiber (sfp ) to the dell switch. The dell switch drops all the traffic for the VOIP. The new construction will have data but the VOIP will work also. Unplugging the new cisco switch resolves the warehouse issues. The cisco switch port for the fiber connection is set to trunk mode. unfortunately the I am unable to access the dell switch to verify the port settings... Any ideas?

Thanks,

You really need to confirm that the DELL switch is set to trunk on the same port.

Have you create the voice VLAN on the local Cisco switch?
