How to find port switch numbers and use LACP group for Synology

Hello all, I've spent hours reading every google result I can find, including Cisco documentation and youtube videos, and I just cannot find an answer to my question or a solution to my problem. I'm a generalist and we don't have a dedicated net tech. Networking isn't my strong point either. Please help!

We have a couple of WS-C3650-48PS. How do I set up LACP so our Synology NAS can use it?

Edit: figured out the answer to my port question. Still need help with link aggregation please.

Error from Synology NAS saying that it couldn't establish link aggregation.

Below, I've started to set up what I think is needed for the LACP functionality. Am I doing this correctly? I know that I need to add the ports to it, that's my question above. But is the switch mode supposed to be trunk? Should Port Fast be turned on? Is there anything else that I need to do on the individual physical interfaces themselves to allow them to work properly in this group/interface?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi there,

The LACP configuration options will be present on the member switchports of the port-channel...at least that is the case on the CLI!

Can you navigate to Interfaces -> Physical Interfaces and then onto which ever ports are connected to the NAS box, and share a screenshot with us. Or just provide the running config of the switch.

cheers,

Seb.

Thanks for your reply. I changed the switch mode on the port-channel to access, enabled portfast and added the ports to it. The synology is detecting the aggregation now.
