SG250 - "The password cannot be updated. No such user..."

I have a slight issue with several SG250 switches that are prompting for a new password on login. When I type a new valid password and hit apply, I receive the message "The Password cannot be updated. No such user..." - this happens regardless of the password length and complexity used. There is only a single account on these switches and this is the one prompting for the password change - as such I am unable to get past this screen and unable to perform any admin functions. Can anyone advise on if there is a way of resolving this without resetting the switch config?

Hello John,

I think the problem is that your password "aged" out and that's why you cannot change it (you cannot see the field and may be this hidden field is user name).

Anyway, try to reset to factory and restore backup, then login and disable password aging:

Security > Password Strength >> Password Aging ... Disable

Hope it helps

Cheers,
